Shree Balaji Dham Hansi
About ‘Mahant Ji’ (Head of Dham)
Dr. Dinesh Puri, the Founder-Mahant of Shree Balaji Dham Hansi, has played a pivotal role in establishing, developing, and expanding the Dham under his divine leadership, taking it to remarkable heights both across the country and abroad.
Born into a middle-class farmer family in Haryana, his father was a farmer and his mother a homemaker. He completed his primary and secondary education at Navodaya Vidyalaya, followed by a B.Sc. (Medical) from M.D. University, Haryana. He later pursued his Master’s degree from Guru Jambheshwar University and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry.
He initially served as a Gazetted Officer in the Central Government for a short period. However, following the spiritual direction of his Guru, who guided him that his true purpose was not to serve any organization but to serve humanity, Dr. Dinesh Puri chose to resign from government service.
Renouncing all worldly comforts, he dedicated his life completely to the service of mankind, working to relieve people from physical, material, and spiritual sufferings with the blessings of Lord Balaji.
Revered as “Shraddhey Mahant,” Dr. Dinesh Puri is known for his sharp intellect, profound wisdom, deep knowledge of the Vedas, Puranas, and Shastras, along with his divine personality, exceptional spiritual insight, and strong sense of patriotism.
Our Guru Parampara (Spiritual Lineage)
Our revered Guru Maharaj is
Bhagwat Prapt, Pratah Smaraniya, Sant Shri Shri 1008 Chhajuram Ji Maharaj.
He served in the Indian Army and after his retirement, he regularly visited the sacred Mehandipur Balaji Dham. There, he received divine blessings from our Dada Guru Maharaj, Pujya Shri Ganesh Puri Ji Maharaj, who entrusted him with a sacred mission of service.
He blessed him with the words:
“Serve the people and help those who are suffering, especially those affected by negative energies or spiritual disturbances. Relieve their pain and guide them towards healing.”
Thus, our divine Guru Parampara began with
Dada Guru Maharaj Shri Ganesh Puri Ji Maharaj and
Guru Maharaj Shri Chhajuram Puri Ji Maharaj (Puri Sampradaya).
Service & Divine Court (Darbar)
Guru Maharaj Shri Chhajuram Ji used to organize a Divine Darbar in his village, where he remained deeply engaged in devotion and spiritual practices.
Devotees from far and wide visited him with their problems, and through his divine blessings,
illnesses, obstacles, sufferings, and spiritual afflictions were resolved.
With his grace, countless lives were filled with
peace, relief, and positivity.
Spiritual Succession (Present Mahant Ji)
As the time of Guru Maharaj Shri Chhajuram Ji approached, he recognized extraordinary qualities and spiritual potential in
Mahant Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj, the present head.
He blessed him and said:
“My time is nearing completion. Now you must carry forward this divine service, organize the Darbar, and spread the glory of Balaji Maharaj (Mehandipur Hanuman Ji) far and wide.”
Present Day Service & Faith
Today, under the guidance of
Pujya Mahant Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj, the divine Darbar continues with great devotion.
Every day, thousands of devotees visit this sacred place with faith and devotion, and through the infinite blessings of Balaji Maharaj, their wishes are fulfilled and sufferings are relieved.
This holy Dham has become a center of
hope, faith, and spiritual healing for those facing difficulties, fears, and distress.
Spirituality
Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj’s parents observed that he possessed a spiritual inclination from a very early age. Since childhood, he showed a natural connection with spirituality. While other children in the village were busy playing, he would often sit alone, deeply contemplating nature and the divine. His parents were amazed by his thoughts and behavior, as it appeared that he was no ordinary child. His deep devotion to God gradually became an integral part of his nature. His lifestyle, speech, and conduct were unique and clearly different from other children of his age.
As time passed, his family suddenly faced a severe phase of physical, financial, and spiritual difficulties due to certain unseen family circumstances. The condition of the entire family continued to deteriorate day by day, and there was a lack of basic necessities at home. These challenges began affecting Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj physically as well, causing him intense suffering. His parents sought treatment and solutions from various places.
Eventually, through the blessings of his past virtues and destiny, he was taken to the world-renowned Mehandipur Balaji Temple to seek relief. There, not only were his sufferings alleviated, but he also had the divine fortune of meeting guruji, a virtuous soul and a devoted follower of Shri Balaji Maharaj. Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj accepted him as his Guru, and in turn, his Guru accepted him as a disciple.
He began visiting his Guru’s ashram, where, under his blessings, all his troubles were completely and permanently resolved. His Guru dedicated his life to selflessly helping people overcome physical, spiritual, and worldly difficulties. Recognizing all the qualities of a true disciple in Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj, his Guru blessed him with the responsibility to establish a “Divine Court” to help people in the same way.
After some time, his revered Guru departed from this world. To honor his Guru’s blessings and instructions, Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj began visiting Shri Balaji Dham Hansi every month and started organizing the Divya Darbar. A five-day Divine Court is held during the sacred days of Shukla Paksha (Ekadashi, Dwadashi, Trayodashi, Chaturdashi, and Purnima), where devotees gather to seek guidance and relief from their problems.
Serving humanity through this Divine Court has become his life’s ultimate purpose. For this noble cause, he has renounced high positions and material comforts. Today, this selfless service has expanded across various parts of India and abroad, where Divine Courts are organized, helping countless people overcome their difficulties and lead peaceful lives.
Beyond providing relief from suffering, Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj, being highly educated, is deeply committed to serving society by promoting values of culture (sanskar), Sanatan Dharma, education, awareness, cleanliness, and social harmony. He continuously works towards guiding people away from superstition and towards a life of positivity, discipline, and devotion.
Blessed is the land of India, and blessed are the parents who gave birth to such a divine soul. The mere presence of Shri Dinesh Puri Ji Maharaj fills people with positivity and faith. His blessings and compassion continue to guide and uplift countless lives.
